Overdue – Small Studios

OVERDUE is an original eight-episode, 30-minute comedy-drama created to capture the raw realities of young adulthood in Toronto. Developed from the ground up, the series was built with a focus on world-building through story, visuals, and style. Each scene was crafted with a cinematic eye, blending the vibrancy of rooftop parties with the intimacy of late-night conversations, creating a world that feels both unfiltered and lived-in. Costumes were designed to reflect the dynamic personalities of the five lead characters, giving each a visual identity that evolves alongside their misadventures in love, work, and friendship. With a tone that merges the visual appeal of Harlem and the wit of Friends, OVERDUE is both a reality check and a celebration, a reminder that stumbling through life together is its own kind of story.
